About the event
Join us for a screening of the award-winning documentary, Reel In The Closet!
In honor of LGBT History Month we are teaming up with the GLBT Historical Society and other organizations to tell the story of queer history and the struggle to preserve it.
Often set against the backdrop of the headline moments of the last century, this documentary is queer history from the perspective of queer people. Rare and intimate, this collection of home videos will take you into the personal and human moments of everyday queer people throughout the last century.
Following the screening there will be a discussion and Q&A with the filmmaker and LGBT Advocates & Historians.
During the event we will be giving a sneak preview of our upcoming film, All The Lonely People. This film examines the growing epidemic of isolation and loneliness.
Introduction by Filmmaker & Producer, Joseph Applebaum.
Film screening (1 hr)
Discussion and Q&A w/ Filmmaker & Panel (TBA)
The event is free, but donations are encouraged. All proceeds help us continue our social impact filmmaking and the completion of, All The Lonely People. Because of COVID-19, we are currently placing cameras in the hands of our film participants to safely capture their experience in isolation.
